Get to know me
I was born in that very hot Summer of 1976, when the tarmac on roads was melting. I often wonder if that’s why I am such a sun lover and feel the cold so much. Although I was a middle child, I always felt like the eldest, my older brother by 18 months has Downs Syndrome and growing up I was fiercely protective of him. My Mum has always been an incredibly positive person despite what life has thrown at her and has had a huge influence on how I show up. Growing up I never really had a clue what I wanted to do with my life but I always had this belief that everything was going to work out for me.
I always loved acting and singing and even played a small role in a TV film in the mid 90’s! I left university with a BA in Theatre Studies but was probably too much of a realist and didn’t fancy being a jobbing out of work actor so ended up working in advertising at The Sun newspaper!
It was the early 2000’s and life was good, I seemed to have landed in a job that paid me to go out and party. I rarely suffered from hangovers and I guess youth was on my side. It was on a work night out entertaining clients that I met my now husband, fell in love and decided to take off around South America. We spent the next decade working in Singapore and Madrid before returning home with our 2 little girls.
3 words my friends use to describe me - kind, positive and fun!
